Students of the Department of Civil Engineering have demonstrated consistent excellence in academics, research, professional skill development, and co-curricular activities. A large number of students have successfully completed NPTEL online certification courses with Elite performance in core and emerging areas such as Python for Data Science, Expansive Soil, Fluid Mechanics, Building Materials as a Cornerstone to Sustainability, Digital Land Surveying and Mapping, Subsurface Exploration Techniques, and Foundation Engineering, offered by premier institutes including IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Kharagpur. Students have also brought recognition to the department by winning Best Paper Awards at international conferences and securing prizes in national-level technical symposiums and departmental technical fests such as STHAPATYA and VARADHI.
In addition, students actively participated in industry internships, training programs, and skill-development initiatives in areas such as Data Science with Python, Construction Planning, AutoCAD, BIM, and Internship & Job Preparation, conducted by reputed organizations including Internshala, Wadhwani Foundation, 360 BIM Institute, LearnWik Solutions Pvt. Ltd., EARTH5R, and Quizaro/Nirmaan. Students have also shown strong professional engagement through IEEE student membership, participation in innovation expos, and involvement in NCC activities, reflecting holistic personality development. These achievements highlight the department’s strong emphasis on outcome-based education, experiential learning, continuous skill enhancement, and the preparation of students for higher studies, research, and industry-ready careers.
